Directed by Sanjay Gupta, Kaabil is a love story of two blind people, played by Hrithik and Yami Gautam, and is produced by Rakesh Roshan. When they get hitched, visually-impaired couple Rohan Bhatnagar (Hrithik Roshan) and Supriya Sharma (Yami Gautam) light up each other’s lives. Unfortunately their dark world goes topsy-turvy when Supriya is raped and Rohan finds the policemen playing blind’s man’s bluff. Leaving him with no choice, but to take the law into his own hands.
Kaabil Movie Review
Kaabil is regular revenge drama with some fresh and interesting proceedings, which keep the viewers engaged right from the beginning till the end. Seems to be inspired by Hollywood’s Blind Fury (1989) and Korean hit Broken (2014), the film pits its blind protagonist as a man on a mission, out to destroy the people who have destroyed him.
This is for the first time Hrithik and Yami Gautam will be seen romancing each other on the silver screen and their chemistry is being loved by one and all. Hrithik has delivered his career’s best performance and his chemistry with Yami is quite refreshing. Yami provides the perfect foil, subtle and super-effective. However Yami’s scenes in the second half and her dialogues with Hrithik feel forced. Brothers Ronit Roy and Rohit Roy shine in their roles and bring in the right baddie sauce to the dish.
The film begins slow, but once it takes off, there is no dull moment. Hrithik Roshan’s performance is the highlight of the film. His performance is really Kaabil-E-Tarif. Strongly recommended. 4 (Four Star) out of 5 star for this.
