Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur‘s upcoming film ‘OK Jaanu’ has been given the green signal by the Central Board of Film Certification. OK Jaanu has received an U/A certificate from the CBFC.
The decision comes as a surprise, as the censor board had a lot of troubles with the Tamil version and the concept of live-in relations when the movie had gone for the censor certification in 2015. In an interview with DNA, when censor chief Pahlaj Nihalani was asked about the sudden change in one year, he said:
The times are changing. At one time couples couldn’t even meet before marriage. Now, they get a chance to spend time with one another to know whether they are compatible or not. That’s a social reality. We must recognize and respect the changes in social mores.
Earlier, Censor Board Chief Pahlaj Nihalani had cleared Aditya Chopra’s ‘Befikre’ with U/A certificate which had lots of kissing scenes and even showed Ranveer Singh’s naked butt.
“Ok Jaanu” starring Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, revolving around a couple who is not interested in marriage and decide to live-in until their career calls them to move to different countries. The film is all set to hit the theaters on January 13.
