Veteran actor Om Puri has passed away at 66 after a massive heart attack. He was found dead at his home on Friday morning. Puri returned home last evening after a shoot. Reportedly his door bell went unanswered, following which his driver raised an alarm.
Close friend of the actor, Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit, first confirmed the sad news of his demise on Twitter.

Om Puri’s friends and colleagues from Bollywood reached his Andheri residence to pay their last respects to the actor. Puri’s body was taken to Cooper hospital for postmortem, following which the funeral will take place.
Born on October 18, 1950, hailing from Ambala in Haryana, Om Puri made his film debut in 1976 with the Marathi film ‘Ghashiram Kotwal‘. The actor, best known for films like ‘Ardh Satya’, ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’ and ‘Mirch Masala‘. More recently, he was seen in the movies, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan‘ and ‘Ghayal Once Again‘.
Om Puri’s sudden death has left the industry in shock and his colleagues have expressed their sadness.
